Russian Military Paper in Oil (PIO) capacitor

The K40Y-9 are high quality PIO capacitors the conductor is made of aluminum foil and the dielectric is oil saturated paper.  Similar in construction to Vitamin Q's.  The cap is hermetically sealed in a metal body with glass ends.
These capacitors provide excellent sonic characteristics and make great  tone capacitors for guitars.  A nice sound alternative to ceramic disc and poly caps.
.047 is a good value for many makes of Strats and Tele's, guitars w/P90's or on the bridge pick-up of Humbucker guitar like Les Paul's, Epiphones or other Gibson-style guitars.
